An art exhibit for the benefit of the Institute of Pulmonary Medicine Projects and Researches. Over 20 artists have contributed works to this exhibition, proving the unity of the art community around worthwhile causes.

Galerie Stephanie, one of the country’s foremost visual arts galleries, and St. Lukes Medical Center in Quezon City announce the opening of Breathing for Art, an art exhibition for the benefit of pulmonary medical projects and research. Breathing for Art will open on November 8, 2012 at 5:00PM at the 2/F Conference Room of the Main Hospital of St. Lukes Medical Center at 279 E. Rodriguez Blvd, Quezon City. The exhibition will run until November 10.

Over 20 artists have contributed works to this exhibition, proving the unity of the art community around worthwhile causes. Pulmonary diseases are among the top 10 causes of death in the country, so research in this area will go a long way to ending the suffering of millions of people. With the participation of Galerie Stephanie, the artworks on display will consist of some of the finest works of the most notable artists around. Among the works include pieces from National Artists Federico Aguilar Alcuaz and Abdulmari Imao, Presidential Medal of Merit awardee Juvenal Sanso, sculptors Ramon Orlina and Michael Cacnio, modern masters Angelito Antonio, Mario Parial, and senior artists Lydia Velasco, Carlo Magno and Dominic Rubio. Other artists are Jerry Morada, Vincent de Pio, Aileen Lanuza, Karina Baluyut, Aldrino Abes, Jovan Benito and many more.

St. Lukes Medical Center hopes the general public will be able to both acquire high quality artwork and help fund projects and research in a very critical area in medicine. Breathing for Art represents a great opportunity to give back to the community.
