Malaysian artist Liew Mei Toong (b.1996) often captures her subjects in the midst of movement as she tries to depict transition and change. But she knows, that transformation does not always demand motion for metamorphosis is inevitable.

Toong earned a diploma from the Fine Art Department of Dasein Academy of Art in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2017. Since then she has been active in the art community in Malaysia, and exhibited works locally and internationally. Her works have also earned praises from various institutions, including the UOB which shortlisted her for the painting of the year award in 2017.
