Nicole Bitas (b. 1999) is a visual artist who explores the unspoken connections between others, oneself, and spaces. She primarily paints figures whose faces are hidden or cropped out of the frame, stripping away immediate cues for expression and relying solely on colors and the subtleties of body language to depict emotions. Her practice revolves around highlighting the beauty of the uncurated and often overlooked fragments of life found in solitude and transitory moments.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of the Philippines Diliman, graduating magna cum laude with an Outstanding Thesis award.
