Against clocks, schedules, and deadlines, Bandung-based Addy Debil takes a moment to breathe. His latest solo exhibition is a consolation to a life marred by haste, where his visual vocabulary distinct for its bold, maximalist, and frenetic tenor offers both a reckoning and a resistance to the pressures of contemporary living.
While pictorial cues that reflect the weight of human existence permeate this collection, the street artist frames these as counterpoints, challenging a life defined by its ability to outrun time and embracing its rhythm instead. In his own words, amid the relentless pulse of rushing hours, “everything in life has its moment. There is a moment to walk, a moment to rest. A moment to laugh, to eat, to party, to fall in love, to cry.”
